Swedish Massage {60minute/90minute}

 

Our Swedish massage involves the use of hands, forearms or elbows to manipulate the superficial layers of the muscles to improve mental and physical health. Active or passive movement of the joints may also be part of the massage. The benefits of Swedish massage include increased blood circulation, mental and physical relaxation , decreased stress and muscle tension, and improved range of motion.14486461_s

 

Deep Tissue Massage {60 minute/90minute}

 

Our deep tissue massage incorporates slow, deliberate strokes that focus pressure on layers of muscles, tendons, or other tissues deep under your skin. A deep tissue massage can be quite therapeutic -- relieving chronic patterns of tension and helping with muscle injuries, such as back sprain.

Donna is an experienced licensed Massage Therapist, Facial Specialist and Nail Techniques for the past eight years, servicing many client types from the most acute to more serious injuries obtained from various health issues.  Her massage styles ranges from stress reduction relaxation massage such as Swedish, reflexology, aromatherapy treatments, bamboo, Thai and lomi lomi massage, with her specialty to include therapeutic, sports and deep tissue treatments. She has presented educational workshops, to a variety of audiences, on the health and wellness benefits of massage and other related topics. She has also been volunteering her services with the Rotary Club in Bandon, Florida for the past 5 years where she donates her massage time initiating massages, yoga sessions and water classes to various cancer patients. Donna is also CPR/AED and First Aid Certified. Donna is a proponent of massage for relieving physical as well as emotional stress, and strongly believes in massage as a viable modality for enhancing overall health and well-being.

Donna has practiced with a local chiropractor for 4 years was engaged in private practice, as a chiropractic assistant. This has allowed her to service many patients with care due to automobile accident injury cases.  Along with her Chiropractic experience, Donna has a sports medicine degree, which has also allowed her greater leverage in understanding the detail process of muscular flexibility, strength and balance.  Due to her extensive fitness background as an athlete, she is also able to incorporate techniques she feels is necessary for the improvement process of each individual client. She has proven to turnaround such cases as frozen shoulders, planter fascia of the feet and low mobility of various muscle by utilizing release techniques. 

Her additional talents include, 3 levels Qi Gong Instructor certified and food healing specialist.  This technique dates back many years and assist clients in understanding the process of homeostasis.  This too allows her clients to improve in another level by educating them on the proper breathing abilities  to improve the blood flow circulation, healing of the body and mind with a deeper connection of energy within their surroundings.  Donna’s mission is to support individuals in achieving life balance through personal wellness on an ongoing basis and locating the root of all concerns pertinent to each client. She is firm believer in the inseparable connection between mind/body/spirit.  

Donna’s deep care for everyone is displayed in work and how she services show in how well she dedicates her attention to all.  Her motto is improving the overall health and wellness simultaneously inside and out and outside in, one client at a time.
