Kaya Avery

Kaya started practicing yoga in 2005. She immediately fell in love with the “dance” of yoga, and knew early on in her practice she wanted to teach. After four years of practicing Bikram and Vinyasa flow in Tampa, she took her studies to the east coast of Florida, getting her 200 hour teacher training certification with Didier Razon of Two Suns Rising in Jacksonville. She has since deepened her teaching practice to include aerial yoga silks, kid’s yoga, aqua yoga, prenatal yoga, and paddleboard yoga. Her certifications have allowed her to touch many lives and form friendships whose bonds are as close as family. “Everyone assumes my passion lies with yoga, but if I’m honest with myself, it is the Teaching I love. Helping someone find what I found on the mat, that makes my day. Everyday.”

Kaya Avery instructs the following:
  • Fire Flow
  • The Fire Flow class takes place in a room heated to 95°-100°.  Each class is uniquely designed to challenge all levels with modifications given for beginner and advanced yogis.  The class is fun, challenging and will have you moving, breathing and sweating! The added element of heat challenges the body as well as the mind - helping to detoxify and invigorate the you. You will explore various poses to work the entire body.  You are encouraged to work at a level that is appropriate for you and take modifications as needed to honor your body. This class will help you build strength and flexibility leaving you feeling charged and energized. Bring a towel and expect to sweat!

  • Vinyasa
  • This is a fun class that incorporates the fluidity of breath and movement. Each class is uniquely designed to allow you to explore and play within your own body. It incorporates poses to improve balance, strength and flexibility. Basic knowledge of sun salutations is recommended but not necessary.

  • Pilates: A Four Week Series
  • Strengthen,lengthen and tone in this four week series Pilates workshop. A great compliment to your yoga practice, Pilates will focus on core muscles resulting in improved balance, healthier supporting muscle development, and longer, leaner muscles throughout. Beginners welcome. Limited to 10 participants per session
    Price: $10 for single session, $35 for all four sessions
