Kundalini yoga, a Raja or royal yoga, is known as the yoga of awareness. It was introduced to the west by Kundalini Yoga master Yogi Bhajan in the late 1960s. Using breath work, movement called kriyas, chanting and meditation, students can experience physical, emotional and spiritual healing and uplifting. Kundalini yoga balances and strengthens the glandular and nervous systems and so is a powerful tool to help relieve stress and anxiety and bring about a sense of peace and calm in our daily lives. Every class is different and appropriate for beginners to experienced practitioners.
